About Us

ABOUT 5th Ave Pawn

We have been a family-owned and operated business since 1997. We specialize in loans, pre-owned jewelry, guns, ammo, electronics, and gunsmithing services. Because our inventory is ever-changing, you never know what treasures you may find in our store.

After the sudden passing of our founder in February of 2021, his older brother Lloyd felt the community still needed this place of resource and camaraderie. So, he decided to keep the business running with the help of his wife, Margo, and faithful staff Patricia, Walter, Daniel, Farrel, and Andy. Along with their close-knit staff, the family offers you expertise in various areas. We take pride in giving you peace of mind when you need it the most.

Heath D Schneider 1972 – 2021

Heath Schneider

Growing up, Heath was the younger of two brothers. He spent his childhood between the sunny beaches of Florida and the hustle ‘n bustle of New York. As a boy, he was always very good with his hands. You could usually find him working on cars or fixing things around the house. His father was a jewelry salesman in Manhattan and introduced his son to the jewelry world. Heath took to it like a fish to water and was a quick study.

He began his business venture young, working weekends at a flea market in Seffner, FL, doing jewelry repair and sales in high school. After high school, he enrolled in Jeweler School and flew through it, receiving the title of Master Jeweler.

He first opened the 5th Avenue Jewelry Store in the USA Flea Market in Hudson, FL. He had success almost immediately, thanks to his outgoing personality and skill as a craftsman. As his success grew, he knew he needed more space and wanted to branch out. After moving to two smaller locations, he finally found our current site in 2006.

For the next 15 years, he built a faithful client base and made the shop a place where people could come by and visit for a while, whether they made a purchase or not. He treated customers as friends, and everyone that entered was greeted with his smiling face; his presence will be greatly missed.

He left behind a wife, Dawn, and two adult children, Kyle and Grace.
